French-African artist DJ 4Rain recently released his new hit entitled “Play The Beat”. Currently residing in Miami, 4Rain keeps the summer vibes alive with an upbeat track inspired by a yearning to keep the party going with great music, dancing, and the Miami nightlife we know and love. He says that the inspiration stems from an actual night out when a club DJ decided to tease the public by stopping the music before the drop; the entire club started chanting “Play the beat – play the beat” and the contrast between the music and sudden silence bred inspiration for 4Rain’s next track.
DJ 4Rain, aka Stephan Tavares, has brought his innovative skill-set to studios with Meek Mill, Tory Lanez, and many more. His collaborations on Meek Mill’s album “Dreams Worth More Than Money” helped bring the album to its #1 spot on the US Billboard charts, later receiving its Platinum status. Stephan’s Grammy-nomination stems from his involvement with Tory Lanez’s single “LUV”, which also went on to reach #1 on the US Billboard charts as well as going Platinum. These successes lead him to signing with Sony Music in 2018, where he released the video for his single “Whatever” – this ranked among the Top 50 Best Pop Music Videos of the year.
“Play The Beat” follows his collaboration with well-known rappers Quavo (Migos) and Prince Ink. DJ 4Rain’s accolades are not to be ignored; his innovative collaborations have quickly lead him to an incredibly successful solo career. The proof is in the pudding; his first solo single entitled “Call Me” ranked #2 on the French Shazam charts, reaching #100 in the US and later 68th worldwide. His progress is rooted in passion. Since a very young age, Stephan has wanted to share his passion for music with the rest of the world. His beginnings of working at influential nightclubs on the French Riviera later inspired him to export his talents to the UK and quickly after, the US. And we’re so glad he did. DJ 4Rain’s single is sure to drown the silence of summer waning; keep the party going and play the beat.
