Interview with Roberto Rodriguez

Roberto Rodriguez is an artist who can turn his hand at any genre including Dance Hardstyle, EDM and Hands Up and has reached astronomical heights on multiple dance charts. His latest release ‘Hard Working’ is an ode to 90’s euphoria that makes you want to dance, sat down with Roberto to discuss the track further.

Hi Roberto, great release! How did you come up with the idea of ‘Hard Working’?

Thank you for your kind words. With every release I try to switch up my routine and just have fun and play about with the music. That’s how the song “Hard Working” was created.

How would you describe the track?

The song is melodious, energetic and makes you have a positive attitude to life.

What goals did you set for yourself and ‘Hard Working?

This time I decided to reach a wider group by using Spotify to distribute my music. Time will tell how well that works for me!

How has the initial reaction been?

The initial response was positive, which I am happy with, it always spurs me on to make more music.

Did you struggle at all with anything musically or creatively whilst making ‘Hard Working’?

Actually, this release was pretty easy for me! I didn’t face any difficulties the music just flowed right through me.

What was it like working with Exlight Records?

I work very well with Exlight Records. It is a young label with cool ideas for further development so I’m always honoured to release my tracks with them.

Do you have a favourite element of ‘Hard Working’?

I like the element of the trumpet the most. It’s fun and bright and puts a smile on my face.

Can we expect to hear some more releases from you soon?

Yes, of course. I’m aiming to publish 1-2 songs a month so hopefully I’ll have some more tracks on the way.
