Pawl is the Swedish artist, songwriter and producer who got praised by The Chainsmokers for his single ‘Young & Faded’. His characteristic sound consists of a brilliant fusion between pop, future house and EDM.
“I’m inspired by everything outside of the western music scene, and I listen to a lot of afro beats. However, I always come back to EDM and I guess that’s where I belong.” said Pawl.
Now Pawl is back with another banger called ‘Nirvana’. He describes it as a warm song about making the most out of one’s life.
“ ‘Nirvana’ is about reaching new levels of happiness and freeing yourself from greed, anger and ignorance” says Pawl, and continues: “It’s easy to complain on a mundane day-to-day life, but instead we should become better at enjoying what we’ve got and make the best of it. The song functions as a reminder to simply enjoy life – every single day.”
Pawl wrote the single with the American songwriter Francesca Richard, whom he called every single night for two weeks in order to nail the track. Together, they managed to create this euphoric piece of art, which is built on a driving beat and organic instruments, such as trumpets and guitar.
